Egyptian diaspora

Egyptian diaspora is when a group of people who are originally from Egypt live in different parts of the world. Let's pretend that you have a friend named Ahmed. Ahmed was born in Egypt and his family still lives there, but Ahmed moved to Canada with his parents when he was a baby. Even though Ahmed lives in Canada now, he still feels connected to Egypt and his Egyptian culture. There are many people like Ahmed who live outside of Egypt but still identify as Egyptian. This group of people is called the Egyptian diaspora. They might celebrate Egyptian holidays, eat Egyptian food, and speak Arabic (the language spoken in Egypt) at home. Some Egyptians in the diaspora might also visit Egypt on trips to connect with their roots and learn more about their culture. Overall, the Egyptian diaspora is a group of people who have a connection to Egypt even though they live in different parts of the world.
