ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Einselection

Einselection is a process that happens in some computer systems. It's like an "undeleting" button for old, unnecessary information. For example, let's say you had a computer that stored all the possible forms of a certain letter. When you type the letter “A” on the computer, it doesn't save all the different forms of the letter. Instead, it keeps the one version that's most useful and gets rid of the other ones. That’s einselection – it chooses the version of the letter that will be kept and deletes the others.
