Elderly people in Japan

Elderly people in Japan are people who are older in age. They are respected in Japan and many people there work very hard to make sure their elderly family members are cared for. They often live in houses called gero-sans (or nursing homes) where there are nurses and caregivers that help take care of them. The Japanese government also provides special discounts on things like travel and medical care for elderly people to make their lives a little easier.
