The Electoral College is a group of people who get to decide who will be the President and Vice President of the United States. They are called Electors and they are chosen by the people who vote in the elections. Every state has a different number of Electors. The number of Electors a state has is based on the number of people who live there. On Election Day, people vote for their favorite candidate. The candidate who gets the most votes in a state wins that state's Electoral College votes. Once the election is over, the Electors from each state meet to vote for President. The candidate who wins the majority of Electors becomes the President.
