Electoral list

Imagine you and your friends want to have a party, and you need to decide who to invite. In order to make sure everyone is included, you make a list of all the people you know and their contact information. This is similar to an electoral list, where a government keeps track of all the people who are eligible to vote in an election.

When a country is going to have an election, they need to make sure everyone who is eligible to vote is accounted for. So, they create an electoral list that includes the names, addresses, and other important information about each person who is allowed to vote. This list helps the government make sure that everyone who wants to vote can do so, and that there are no problems or confusion on election day.

Just like you might update your party list if some of your friends move or change their phone numbers, electoral lists need to be updated too. Governments will regularly review their lists and remove names of people who are no longer eligible to vote (like those who have passed away or moved away), and add new names of people who have become eligible (like young adults who have turned 18).

Overall, electoral lists are an important way for governments to keep track of who can vote and make sure that elections are fair and free for all.
