ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Electrical system design

An electrical system is like a big puzzle made up of lots of little pieces that need to fit together perfectly in order for everything to work correctly. When someone designs an electrical system, they are like a puzzle master who knows how all the pieces need to fit together.

First, they look at what needs to be powered. This could be anything from a light bulb to a computer to an entire factory. They need to figure out how much power each thing uses, because that will determine how big the system needs to be.

Next, they need to figure out where everything will be located. They need to think about where the power source is, where the things being powered are, and how to connect them all together with wires or cables.

They also have to make sure that everything is safe. Electrical systems can be dangerous if they are not designed and installed correctly, so the designer has to make sure that everything is properly insulated and protected.

Finally, they have to make sure that the system will work correctly. This means testing everything and making sure that all the components work together as they should.

Overall, designing an electrical system is a big job that requires a lot of knowledge and skill. But if it is done right, it can power everything from a small device to a whole city!
