Electromigration is like a traffic jam on a huuuuuuge highway called a wire inside a computer chip. The cars on this highway are like tiny tiny electrons. Sometimes, when the cars are going too fast or there are too many of them, they can bump into each other or get stuck.
When too many electrons get stuck in one place, they can push and shove each other until they create a big traffic jam. This traffic jam can make the highway really hot and could even damage or break the wire. If this happens, the computer chip might stop working or have errors.
Scientists and engineers who design computer chips have to be careful about how many cars (electrons) are on the highway (wire) and how fast they are going. They try to make sure that the cars won't get stuck in one place and cause a traffic jam. If they do get stuck, they might have to put in some extra stops or lanes to help the cars move along smoothly.
