Electronic components are tiny parts that can control the flow of electricity in electronic devices like computers, phones, and televisions. Just like how Lego blocks can be put together to make different things, electronic components can be put together to make electronic devices work.

There are different types of electronic components like resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and integrated circuits. Resistors are like speed bumps that slow down the flow of electricity, capacitors store electricity like a battery, diodes control the direction of electricity flow, transistors amplify or switch the flow of electricity, and integrated circuits are like tiny computer chips that have millions of electronic components packed into one small package.

So when you turn on your computer, for example, there are many different types of electronic components working together to allow it to turn on, display pictures, and play sound. Without them, your devices wouldn't work!
