ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Electronic journalism

Electronic journalism is when people use computers, phones, and other electronics to tell the news. Just like when you read a book or listen to a story from your parents, when we want to know what is happening around the world, we can also use electronics to get the news.

Let's say that something really important is happening in a faraway place that we need to know about. Electronic journalists, or e-journalists, can use their computers or phones to research the event and write about it for people like us to read.

When they are ready to share their story, they can post it on a website, social media, or send it to a news agency. Some journalists also use video cameras and microphones to make news programs that we can watch on TV, YouTube, or other websites.

So, if you read or watch the news on the internet or TV, you are following electronic journalism!
