An electronic signature (sometimes called an e-signature) is a way that you can sign something on the internet without having to write your name on paper. It's like an electronic copy of a normal signature that you use when you need to sign something. To do this, you use a special program called a signature processor. This program lets you type in your name, the date, and any other information you need to provide. When you are done, it produces a unique digital code that you can attach to your document, just like a normal signature.
