Ellis Island

Ellis Island is a very special place in America, where people from all over the world used to come to start a new life. Many years ago, when people from other countries came to America, they had to go through a special process to make sure they could come into the country.

Before people could enter America, they had to go to Ellis Island. There, they would have to give their name, where they came from, and answer a lot of important questions. People would also get checked by doctors to make sure they were healthy because they did not want people with diseases coming into the country.

If all went well and they had no issues or problems, they would get to enter America and start their new life. Ellis Island was the place where many people started their American dream!
