Emotional baggage

Emotional baggage is something that happens when you feel very sad or upset about things that have happened to you in the past. Imagine if you had a really heavy backpack that you had to carry around with you all the time. Inside that backpack are all the bad feelings and memories you have from things that have happened to you before. These memories can make you feel really sad, angry, scared, or even worried about the future.

Sometimes, when you carry around too much emotional baggage, it can be hard to feel happy or carefree. You might feel weighed down by all the bad things that have happened to you before, and this can make it hard to enjoy your everyday life. Just like how you might need help carrying a heavy backpack, sometimes it can be helpful to talk to someone else about your emotional baggage. This way, you can start to let go of some of those bad feelings and memories, and slowly start to feel happier and lighter.
