Energy informatics

Energy informatics is the study of how data, computers, and technology are used to help make energy systems more efficient. It looks at how to make systems better at collecting data about how much energy is being used, storing that data, and then analyzing it to find ways to reduce energy consumption. For example, energy informatics could look at how a factory or office is using energy to see if there ways it can cut back on its energy use. In order to do this, it uses data, computers, and technology to make the energy system more efficient.
