ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Enforcement

Okay kiddo, so enforcement means making sure that everyone follows the rules. Just like how your teacher enforces the rules in the classroom, there are people called enforcers who make sure that rules are being followed in different places such as on the streets, in stores and even online.

For example, if you and your friends were playing a game and one of your friends kept cheating, your teacher would have to enforce the rules of the game and make sure your friend plays fairly. Similarly, when you cross the street, you must wait for the green light and look both ways before crossing. If you don’t follow these rules, you can get in trouble with the enforcers, who are the police officers that make sure everyone’s safe.

Enforcement is an important job as it helps keep everyone safe and ensures that everyone plays by the same rules. It’s kind of like having a referee in a soccer game who enforces the rules of the game, so everyone can play fairly and have fun!
