ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Engineering, procurement, and construction management

"Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management" is a way to build really big things like buildings, highways, bridges, and power plants.

First, the engineers make plans for what they want to build. Then, the people in charge of procurement (buying things) get all the materials and things they need to build it.

Once they have everything they need, they start construction. The people in charge of construction management make sure everything is built the right way and on time.

So, it's kind of like building a really cool Lego set. First, we come up with a plan, then we go to the store to get all the Legos we need, and then we carefully follow the directions to build it perfectly. And just like with the Lego set, we need to make sure each step is done properly so we end up with a final product that is safe, functional, and looks cool!
