Environmental stewardship (England)

Environmental stewardship is when people take care of nature by protecting and preserving the environment. It means making sure that plants, animals, and their homes are safe and well cared for. Just like how you take care of your toys, your room, or your pets, we should take care of the planet too!

In England, the government and other organizations have come together to make sure we use the resources we have wisely and try to cut down on the bad things that can harm the environment, like pollution. They also try to encourage people to create more habitats for wildlife and prevent damage to natural areas.

One way they do this is by setting up protected areas and creating programs that help farmers and landowners keep the land and waterways healthy. These programs help people learn how to farm and use land in more environmentally-friendly ways.

They also encourage people to recycle and reduce waste by making it easy to recycle and promoting the use of reusable items instead of single-use plastics. By doing this, we can manage our resources in a better way and reduce the negative impacts on the environment.

So, environmental stewardship is about being responsible, taking care of the environment, and making sure that we protect it for future generations.
