Ephemera

Ephemera is like little treasures that are not meant to last forever. They're like the things you play with, the papers you draw on, the postcards you send to your friends, and the little notes you write to yourself. They might be made out of thin paper, like a receipt or a plane ticket, or something fun like a sticker or a trading card.

Ephemera is special because it's not something you keep forever like your other toys or your clothes. It's like something you use once or twice, and then it's all done. Imagine playing with a toy that is only meant for one day before it disappears. That's what ephemera is like.

Some people like to collect ephemera because it reminds them of the fun times they had when they were young, or because they enjoy the art on the little pieces of paper. They might keep them in a special box, or make a scrapbook out of them so they can look back and remember all the little things that made them happy. And even though ephemera might not last forever, it can still be really special and important to some people.
