ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Epigenetic robotics

Epigenetic robotics is like creating robots that can adapt and learn. It's like teaching a robot to be like a human in a way. When we learn something, like to play the piano, our brain changes a little so that it knows what to do the next time. Robots can now do something similar. Instead of having to reprogram a robot every time you want it to do something new, they can use what they’ve already learned to do something new. They can change a little based on their experiences, just like our brains do. Epigenetic robotics helps robots remember things and adjust how they work depending on what they’ve experienced.
