Erinyes

Erinyes is a group of three goddesses from ancient Greek mythology who were said to punish people for doing bad things. They were kind of like the police of the underworld. They were also known as the Furies or the Eumenides.

These goddesses were often depicted as having snakes instead of hair and wings on their back. They had sharp claws and carried whips or torches to punish people who did wrong.

According to the Greek myths, if someone committed a serious crime like murder, the Erinyes would follow them around until their crime was punished. They would cause the person to have bad dreams and nightmares, and they would make sure that the person never had any peace until they paid for their wrongdoing.

So basically, the Erinyes were like the ultimate enforcers of justice in ancient Greece. If you did something bad, you better watch out because they were always watching and they would make sure you paid for it.
