Eskers Provincial Park

So, Eskers Provincial Park is a really cool place! Imagine that you are playing with some sand at the beach. You make a little mound of sand and then you pour some water over it. The water goes through the sand and creates a little stream down the side of the mound.

Well, a long time ago, when there was a lot of ice covering the land, something similar happened. The ice melted and made little rivers of water that flowed under the ice. These rivers would carry sand and rocks with them, and when the ice melted completely, the sand and rocks were left behind in the shape of long, winding hills called eskers.

Eskers Provincial Park is a place where you can see these eskers up close and explore them! There are trails you can walk on that will take you through the hills and valleys of the eskers. You might even get to see some animals like moose, beavers, and birds that live in the park.

Overall, Eskers Provincial Park is a fun place to learn about how the earth changes over time and how different landscapes are formed.
