Espetada

Espetada is a special way of cooking meat that comes from the island of Madeira in Portugal. It's like a big yummy BBQ skewer that hangs over hot coals or a flame grill.

First, the meat is cut into cubes and marinated in a special sauce made with garlic, bay leaves, salt, and vinegar. This sauce makes the meat super tasty and juicy.

Next, the meat cubes are carefully placed on a long metal skewer, one after the other, until it looks like a big ladder of meat. This skewer is then hung up over the fire to cook slowly, turning occasionally to make sure it cooks evenly.

While the meat is cooking, it releases delicious juices that drip down onto slices of bread placed below the skewer to soak up all the flavor.

Finally, when the meat is fully cooked, it's sliced into smaller pieces and served with these tasty bread slices, sometimes with a side of chips or salad. Yum!
