Establishment of Soviet power in Russia (1917–1918)

So, a really long time ago, in 1917, some people living in Russia were very unhappy with the way their government was working. They didn't think things were fair, and they wanted things to change.

Some of these unhappy people were called Bolsheviks, and they believed that the best way to make things better was to create a new kind of government, one that was centered around workers and farmers. They called this new government the Soviet Union.

The Bolsheviks were led by a man named Vladimir Lenin, and he became very popular among the unhappy people. They liked that he talked about making things more fair and equal for everyone.

Soon, the Bolsheviks were able to overthrow the old government and take control of Russia. They faced a lot of obstacles, though. Some people didn't like them taking over and there was a war going on.

But the Bolsheviks were determined to create their new government, so they worked hard to make it happen. They called their new government the Soviet power.

They had to make a lot of changes to make things more fair and equal. They took land away from rich people and gave it to farmers. They made sure that workers had better working conditions and more rights.

But, not everyone was happy with the changes the Bolsheviks made. Some people didn't like the idea of communism, which is a sort of system where everyone is equal and the government controls everything.

Despite this, the Soviet power in Russia was established in 1917 and it changed the country forever.
