Estoc

Estoc is a type of sword that looks a bit different than the swords you may have seen before. Instead of having a sharp edge along the entire length of the blade, an estoc has a very sharp pointy end, almost like a really long needle.

This type of sword was designed to be used specifically against people who were wearing armor. See, if you have a regular sword and you try to swing it at someone in armor, you might not be able to get through the armor with your sharp blade. But with an estoc, you can use the pointy end to poke through the weaker parts of the armor, like joints or gaps between armor plates, to hurt your opponent.

Estocs were also longer than most other swords, which gave the person using it a longer reach. This meant they could poke at their opponent from further away than someone with a shorter sword could.

So, basically, an estoc is a really long sword with a super sharp pointy end that was used to poke through armor to hurt the person wearing it.
