Ethnobotany of Poland

Ethnobotany is like exploring how plants and people go together! When we talk about Ethnobotany of Poland, we are looking at how the plants that grow in Poland are used by the people who live there.

Poland has many different plants, like the chamomile plant that is used to make tea and the elder plant that is used to make syrup. People in Poland also use these plants for medicine, like the birch tree's sap that can help with cough.

In the past, people in Poland needed to use these plants for food too because they didn't have many grocery stores. They would collect plants like the wild raspberry and blueberry, and then use them to cook with.

Today, we still use plants in Poland for many things, like making clothes and even buildings! Somethings like the hemp plant are great for building materials, while others plant like the flax can be used to make fabric.

So, in short, Ethnobotany of Poland is when we study how people and plants lived together in Poland, and how these plants were used for different things!
