Ethnomycology

Ethnomycology is the study of how people interact with mushrooms and other fungi. It looks at the ways different cultures in the world use mushrooms for food, medicine, ceremonies, and other activities. It also looks at how people think about mushrooms and how they view them in nature. For example, some cultures might consider mushrooms to be part of the spirit world and might use them in religious rituals. Ethnomycology helps us to understand and appreciate how people around the world view fungi, how they use them and why.
