ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

European Aviation Safety Agency

The European Aviation Safety Agency, or EASA for short, is a group of grown-ups who work together to make sure that airplanes and helicopters are safe to fly in Europe.

Have you ever been on an airplane? It can be a fun adventure, but it's also important that the airplane is safe for everyone on board. EASA helps to make sure the airplanes and helicopters in Europe are as safe as possible.

They have special rules that airplane and helicopter makers have to follow when they build these machines. EASA also checks to make sure that the airplanes and helicopters are working correctly before they can fly.

If there is a problem with an airplane or helicopter, EASA will make sure that it gets fixed before anyone can go flying. They work with airlines and airplane makers to make sure that everyone who flies can have fun and be safe at the same time!
