European Megalithic Culture

Okay little buddy, you know how there are some really big rocks out there that are so heavy that people can't just pick them up and move them around? Well, a long, long time ago in Europe, some people figured out how to move those really big rocks and they used them to build some really cool structures.

These structures are called megaliths and they are made up of two or more big, heavy rocks that are put together to make something like a big, tall table or a doorway. The people who built these megaliths were part of a culture called the European Megalithic Culture.

The European Megalithic Culture was a group of people who lived a long, long time ago and they built these megaliths all over Europe, especially in places like France, Portugal, and Spain. These megaliths were used for a lot of different things, like as burial places for important people or as temples for religious ceremonies.

The people who built these megaliths were very skilled and talented. They used special tools to shape the rocks and move them around, and they worked together in big groups to make sure everything was just right. Some of these megaliths are still standing today, even though they were built thousands and thousands of years ago!
