European Union

The European Union (EU) is a group of countries in Europe that work together to make decisions about things that affect the whole continent, like trade, the environment, and security. All of the countries in the EU have agreed to share some of their power and work together for the good of everyone in Europe. Everything from the food we eat, to the medicines we take, to the laws we follow, is affected by the European Union. The EU also works to make sure that everyone in Europe can have a chance to have good education, jobs, and a safe place to live.
