European Union Regional policy

The European Union is like a big club made up of many different countries in Europe. These countries work together to make things better for everyone who lives there.

But not all of the countries in the European Union are the same. Some are bigger, some are richer, and some have more people. This means that not everyone has the same opportunities.

To make things more fair, the European Union has something called "regional policy". This means that they try to help the parts of Europe that are not doing as well.

For example, let's say there is a town in a country that is struggling to create jobs for its people. The European Union might give money to that town to help them build a new factory or start a new business.

Or, if there is an area in a country that doesn't have very good roads or public transportation, the European Union might help pay for those improvements so people can get around more easily.

The goal of regional policy is to make sure that everyone living in the European Union has access to the same opportunities, no matter where they live.
