European Art Cinema is a type of movie that tells stories that focus on meaning and ideas rather than action or adventure. Such movies usually have thought-provoking stories and characters as well as different visuals and a slower pace than traditional Hollywood movies. Examples of European Art Cinema are Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita, Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal and Andrei Tarkovsky's Andrei Rublev.
