European medieval architecture in North America

Alright, kiddo. You know how there are different types of houses and buildings, right? Like some have flat roofs, while others have pointy roofs?

Well, a long, long time ago in a place called Europe, people built buildings in a special style called "medieval architecture." These buildings had thick walls made out of stones, and sometimes had towers or turrets on top. They also often had big round windows, called "rose windows," that looked like flowers.

Fast-forward a few hundred years, and some people in North America still really like the way those medieval buildings looked. So they decided to build new buildings in that same style!

They found rocks and stones in North America that they could use to make thick walls, and they created tall buildings with impressive details just like the ones in Europe. They even added some new twists to the style, like making some buildings with pointy roofs that looked like the tops of dragon scales!

Today, you can still see some of these buildings in North America. They might not have knights or royalty walking around like they did in medieval Europe, but they sure do look impressive!
