Hey there kiddo! So, back in the Medieval times, which was a really long time ago, some people from Europe, called Europeans, went all the way to China. Do you know where China is on the map?
No worries, let me show you! China is a really big country in Asia, with lots of people and really yummy food. Europeans traveled really far to reach China because they wanted to trade things like silk, tea, and spices.
When Europeans got to China, they were really surprised because this country was so different from their own. They didn't speak the same language, their houses looked different, and even the clothes they wore were not the same.
But even though they were different, Europeans and Chinese people still got along and they started trading with each other. Europeans brought things like gold, silver, and weapons to trade for Chinese goods. Sometimes, they even brought their religion with them and tried to convince Chinese people to follow it!
It was really amazing how these two different groups of people could come together and learn from each other. They even wrote about each other in books that we can still read today! That's how we know about Europeans in Medieval China.
So, what do you think about all of this? Pretty cool, huh?
