Euthanasia trials

Imagine a very sick person who cannot get better, no matter how much medicine or treatment they get. This person may be in a lot of pain and suffering all the time. Euthanasia is when a doctor or someone else helps this person end their life in a peaceful way, without any more pain or suffering.

Euthanasia trials are when people are trying to decide if it should be okay for someone to help another person end their life this way. They want to figure out if the person who is sick and suffering should have the right to choose to die or not.

Sometimes these trials are important because they help people make a decision about important things, like how much control we have over our own lives and how much we should trust doctors to make hard choices for us. It's a really complicated topic, but it's important to talk about it and think about what is best for everyone involved.
