Evaporation pond

An evaporation pond is like a big pool. But instead of it being filled with water, it is filled with salty water from mines or factories. The sun shines on the pond, making the water get hot. As it gets hot, water evaporates (turns into water vapor or steam) and the salt is left behind until the pond is very salty. This salty water can be used to make things like table salt or to help with things like making roads or cleaning things.
