Exome sequencing

Exome sequencing is like a treasure hunt. Scientists look at a person's DNA and try to find the parts that have useful information. It works by going through the DNA and looking for small parts (called exons) that have information that can be used to understand a person's health. By looking at these exons, scientists can learn about what genes a person may have that could be linked to various diseases. This can help doctors figure out the best way to treat the patient.
