Exoplanet

An exoplanet is a planet that orbits a star outside our Solar System, which is the system of planets that orbit our Sun. Scientists study exoplanets to learn more about how planets form and how planets like our Earth might exist outside of our Solar System. Exoplanets are very difficult to spot because they are so far away and not very bright, so scientists use powerful telescopes and special techniques to find them.
