ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed

"Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" is a movie that talks about a really big question that some people have: how did the world come to be?

Some people believe that the world and everything on it came to be by a process called evolution. They think that over time, living things started to change in small ways and eventually became very different from what they used to be.

Other people believe that the world and everything on it was created by a powerful being, like God. They think that God made the world and everything in it, exactly the way it is now.

The movie is about people who believe in the second theory, that God created everything, and who think that some scientists are not letting their ideas be heard. They believe that some scientists are trying to stop them from talking about their ideas about God creating the world.

The movie talks about how some of these people think that science teachers at schools should tell their students about both theories, so that they can decide for themselves which one to believe.

Some people think that this is a good idea, because it's important to hear different ideas and decide which one makes the most sense to you. Other people think that it's not a good idea to teach both theories in science class, because one of them is based on religion and not on science.
