Exsul Familia

Exsul familia means "migrant family" in Latin. Imagine you are playing in your house with your toys and someone knocks on the door. When you open the door, you see a family you have never met before. They are from a different place and they are looking for a safe place to stay because something bad happened in their old home. Maybe there was a big war or a scary monster or they just couldn't find any food. This family needs help because they left everything they owned behind and they don't know where to go next. This is what we call an exsul familia - a family that has to leave their home and try to find a new home somewhere else. It is important to be kind and welcoming to exsul familia because they are going through a hard time and need our help.
