Extensometer

An extensometer is a tool that helps us measure how much an object stretches or compresses when we push or pull it. It has two arms that we attach to the object we want to measure, and as we stretch or compress it, the extensometer measures how much the distance between its arms changes. This can be really helpful in understanding how strong a material is or how much it can bend before breaking. It's kind of like a measuring tape, but for stretching things instead of measuring length.
