Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative

The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) is a global network that works to make sure that the countries where natural resources are found (like oil, gas, and minerals) get the money they should from companies that take those resources. It encourages governments and companies to share information with each other and the public so people can make sure they're getting what they're owed. This helps people in the country where the resources are get the money they need and it prevents companies from taking advantage of people.
