First Tech Challenge (FTC) is a robotics competition for kids aged 12-18. Teams compete against each other by building and programming robots to solve various challenges. The robots compete on a large game board with objects laid out on it. Teams have to program their robots to move around the board, pick up objects and put them in specific places, turn on tools such as fans, and complete other tasks. Teams also use their robots to compete in head-to-head challenges like soccer or hockey. Competitions can be held in schools, community centers, and gathering spots around the world. The goal is for teams to learn how to build, design, and program robots while having fun competing with teams from all over the world.
