Fahrenheit 451

Fahrenheit 451 is a book about a futuristic world where books are against the law. In this world, a special team of firefighters are in charge of going around and burning books so that nobody can read them. It is named after the temperature at which books burn - 451 degrees Fahrenheit - because that’s how hot the fire has to be to burn books. In this world, the government controls what people think and read, and books can’t be read because they are thought to contain too much dangerous knowledge. So, burning books is the only way to keep people from reading them and learning the truth.
