Fairy tale parody

A fairy tale parody is when a story or a movie takes a classic fairy tale, like Cinderella or Snow White, and gives it a twist or a funny update. For example, the movie Shrek is a fairy tale parody because it is based off the classic fairy tales, but everything is different—the characters look different, they say different things, and the story has some very funny events! It is like a fun twist on the original story.
