ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Fake eyelashes

Fake eyelashes are strips of hair or synthetic fibers that you can put on your eyelids to make your eyelashes look longer and thicker. Imagine putting on a sticker on top of your eyelashes, like how you put stickers on your notebook or folder.

To put on fake eyelashes, you need to make sure that your eyelids are clean and dry. Then, you can use a special glue to stick the fake eyelashes on your eyelids, just like how you use glue to stick things together.

Once the fake eyelashes are in place, they can stay there for a few days or even weeks, depending on the type of glue you used to put them on. You can wear them to parties, special events, or just any day you want to look extra fancy.

Some people also choose to get fake eyelashes put on by a professional, which means that someone else will put them on for you in a salon or beauty store.

Just like with anything you put on your body, it's important to be careful when using fake eyelashes and make sure that you're not allergic to the glue or materials used in the fake eyelashes. And always remember to remove them properly so that you don't damage your real eyelashes or irritate your eyes.
