ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

False accusations

When someone says something that isn't true about another person, that's called a false accusation. Imagine you and your friend both really like a toy, but your friend says that you stole their toy even though you didn't. That's not fair because you didn't do anything wrong, but your friend's words could get you in trouble anyway. False accusations can hurt people's feelings and get them punished for something they didn't do. It's important to always tell the truth and not accuse someone of something unless you have proof that it's true.
