False color is a way of coloring a picture. It's not like coloring books where you pick one color for each part of the picture, but it means taking a picture and making it look different colors than what they really are.
For example, let's take a picture of trees. If we look at the picture, we'll see the leaves are usually green, the trunk is brown, and the sky is blue. But with false color, we can make the leaves red, the trunk yellow, and the sky purple.
Why would we do this? Well, there's a lot of reasons. Sometimes it's just for fun or to make the picture look more interesting. Other times, it can help us see things we wouldn't normally be able to see.
