The Fasti calendar helped the Ancient Romans keep track of when to celebrate special occasions like birthdays, weddings, and holidays. There were also special days dedicated to the gods, so people would offer prayers and sacrifices on those days.

But there were some months that were considered unlucky in Ancient Rome, and people would avoid making any important decisions during those months. These months were known as "dies atri" or "black days."
