Okay, so you know how the earth has big rocks, right? And sometimes those big rocks move around because of really strong forces called tectonic plates. When those rocks move around, they can break into smaller pieces.
That's what happens with fault breccia. When those rocks break and move around, they create a mixture of big and small pieces of rock all jumbled together. We call that mess of rocks a "breccia."
Now, the important part is the "fault" part. A fault is like a crack in the earth where those tectonic plates move around. So, if the rocks break and move around along a fault, we get something called a fault breccia.
It's kind of like if you were playing with your toys and accidentally bumped into a bookshelf, causing some of your toys to fall and break into pieces. The broken toys all jumbled up together would be like the fault breccia, and the force that made them break in the first place would be like the tectonic plates causing the fault.
