Fawcett Publications
Okay kiddo, so a long time ago there was a company called Fawcett Publications. They made books and magazines for people to read. These books and magazines were about all kinds of things like adventure, mystery, romance, and even comic books with superheroes like Superman and Captain Marvel.
Fawcett Publications was really popular and people loved their comics, especially Captain Marvel. He could fly, had super strength, and was really cool. But then something bad happened. Another company called DC Comics said that Captain Marvel was too similar to their superhero Superman and that Fawcett Publications was copying them.
So Fawcett Publications had to stop making Captain Marvel comics and it was really sad for everyone who loved him. But, Fawcett Publications kept making other books and magazines and people still liked them.
Later on, Fawcett Publications had some financial problems and ended up selling the rights to their comics, including Captain Marvel, to DC Comics. So now DC Comics owns the rights to Captain Marvel and still continues to make comics about him.
