Feast of the Gods (art)

Imagine a big party where all the gods are invited and they are having so much fun together! This is called the "Feast of the Gods" and people in ancient times made paintings and sculptures of this party to show how happy and joyful the gods were. They imagined the gods dancing, singing, eating and drinking, and having a good time. This art was made to celebrate and honor the gods, who were believed to have power over everything in the world. So just like how we draw pictures of our friends and family to remember happy moments, people in the past made art of the Feast of the Gods to remember and honor the happy moments the gods had together.
